BROWNFIELD – The Brownfield, Meadow, and Wellman police and fire departments recently received training from the National Weather Service on storm watch. “It’s to train people on how to spot and track weather,” Police Chief Tony Serbantez said of the training. “The training covers recognition of cloud formations and development.” The National Weather Service talked about how the radars can indicate a lot of things from where they are at, but they need people on the ground to confirm or notify them of what they are seeing that the radar is not picking up.
