Two O’Donnell school district board members will return to office after defeating a write-in candidate in Saturday’s election.Board President Mandy Stidham and the board’s secretary, Trevor Halfmann, defeated write-in candidate Max Mendieta in the election.Stidham captured 128 votes while Halfmann received 82 and Mendieta collected 18.Mendieta filed in the race Feb. 20, the last day writeins could file in the election.Board members are canvassing the votes at 7 p.m. tonight in the school district’s board room at 400 Small Street in O’Donnell.Both newly elected board members will be sworn into office.
