It isn’t unheard of for a few glitches to appear in the first week of a new school year. Students get lost at unfamiliar schools, and there are usually some tears as little ones break away from parents for the first time. This year there was an additional challenge at Lamesa middle school – with three different buildings being utilized because of damage to the main campus during the June 26 storm that hit Lamesa. But that really didn’t pose much of a stumbling block, according to Superintendent Jim Knight. “It’s gone pretty smooth considering it’s going to three different buildings,” Knight said.
