STANTON – Renovations are complete and the first house built in Stanton has been saved.An Open House will be held at the Connell house from 2 p.m. until 5:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 1.Folks are invited to come tour the historic home at 409 N. Convent, across from St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.The home is restored to the time period of the 1930’s. The kitchen and dining room are the original two rooms which were built in 181 by Carmelite Priests. After the priests moved into the monastery, the home was sold to Mr. and Mrs. D.J.
