SLATON- The City of Slaton Commissioners approved setting an annual permit fee to $20,000 for game rooms and amending the city ordinances for where they could be set up Monday evening (Oct. 12) during its regular monthly meeting. The new annual permit fee goes into effect Jan. 1, 2021. Mayor Lynn Nowlin said that game rooms have been an “ongoing problem” and there was concern about the establishments.
