SLATON– The Slaton Independent School District (SISD) board of trustees approved an attendance requirement for math and science teacher stipends June 14 during the board’s regular monthly meeting.Superintendent Jim Andrus said this was a stipend for structured learning teachers who teach the two subjects. They start at $1,000 the first year, then it goes up to a maximum of $3,000.
