Lamesa police are continuing to investigate a shooting incident about midnight Monday which claimed the life of 51-year-old Alfredo Trevino of Lamesa, according to Lamesa Police Chief Dale E. Alwan Sr. Trevino was pronounced dead at Medical Arts Hospital in Lamesa by Justice of the Peace Larry Duyck, who said the cause of death appeared to be a single gunshot wound to the chest. An autopsy ordered by Duyck was being performed in Lubbock Wednesday morning, Alwan said.
