SEMINOLE – Due to Seminole’s water tanks dropping to nine feet Wednesday (June 29), Mayor John Belcher announced last Thursday morning that effective June 30 until July 6, the City of Seminole is implementing Stage 4 water restrictions.City Manager Adam Niolet explained that per the recently-adopted drought contingency plan, the city is prohibiting the following:•Irrigation of landscaped areas;•Use of water to wash any motor vehicle, boat or trailer;•Operation of any ornamental fountain or pond.In addition, all restaurants are prohibited from serving water to patrons except upon request from the customer.Niolet added that while the tanks are running low, Seminole Independent ...
