SEMINOLE – After an executive session of the Seminole Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) on Monday, City Administrator Tommy Phillips affirmed that he has been authorized by the board of directors to enter into negotiations with the H-E-B Supermarket chain for the possible placement of a store in Seminole. For several years, the Seminole EDC has held a seven-acre plot of land located in the 1800 block of Hobbs Highway (on the south side of U.S. Highway 62/180) in hopes of securing a supermarket outlet.
