Schools don’t experience post-holiday COVID jump

Schools in Lamesa and the surrounding area were free of new COVID-19 cases during the first week of classes after the Christmas break. That’s according to public school COVID-19 data posted on the Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS) website for the week of Jan. 4-10. Based on information submitted by school districts, the website shows no new cases among either students or staff in the Lamesa, Klondike, Dawson, Sands, O’Donnell and Borden County school districts.
