Lamesa Independent School District (LISD) officials are holding a retirement celebration to honor those who are retiring.The celebration is in honor of Christine Vera, a curriculum instructional coordinator at Lamesa High School, and eight other LISD retirees.The retirement reception is scheduled from 4 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. today in the Lamesa High School loft.The school is located at 600 N. 4th Street.
