Local residents likely will be able to watch a large helicopter busily at work over most Lamesa school buildings at some point during the upcoming summer. Lamesa school board members voted during their regular meeting Thursday to replace a total of 162 rooftop heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) units at the various campuses, administration building and new maintenance building.
