With about one-fourth of the entire student population absent this past Wednesday, Lamesa school officials announced Thursday they were canceling classes for a couple of days in hopes of allowing students and staff an opportunity to recover from an array of illnesses.Classes were canceled for this past Friday and this coming Tuesday.
