Both Dawson County and the City of Lamesa experienced slight increases to local sales tax revenue for the month of July.The sales tax revenue, in the form of rebates from the state comptroller’s office in Austin, are higher than the previous year’s rebates.The rebates represent local sales taxes collected by merchants and sent to the Texas comptroller’s office along with the state sales tax revenue.
