Both Dawson County and the City of Lamesa enjoyed another month of increases in their sales tax rebates from the state comptroller’s office.Dawson County’s rebate of local sales tax revenue this month totals $146,217, which is 22.4 percent more than the $119,429 in rebates received in August of last year.The county’s rebates for the year now total $969,365. That is a 45.2 percent jump over the $667,632 collected during the same eight months last year.The City of Lamesa received a rebate of $246,647 this month.
