A vaccine against COVID-19 is coming, but it will take awhile before it makes its way to Dawson County. A total of 109 Texas hospitals in 34 counties are getting the first round of vaccinations, but Lamesa’s Medical Arts Hospital (MAH) and its nearby clinic are not among them. Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) released a list Dec. 4 of the first medical facilities to receive the vaccine from Pfizer, a drug company headquartered in New York City.
