The Lamesa Rotary Club received the Perserverance Award that was presented on behalf of Rotary International last month at the annual District Convention in Ruidoso, N.M. The award was presented for the Lamesa club’s “steadfast commitment to the Lamesa community in providing long term financial support to youth in education by way of a perpetual endowment.” Club President Brant Stewart displays the award that he said was given in recognition of the Rotary Club’s scholarship program where four students are presented with a scholarship every year.
