Competitors in the Lamesa Rodeo Association’s upcoming annual rodeo continue to sign up to enter the various events. An estimated 100 have already signed up, with more expected a few days before the rodeo’s opening night this coming Thursday. “There’s probably close to 100 that signed up, I bet,” said association President Cody King. Rodeo athletes will be competing for prize money and trophy belt buckles in bull riding, bronc riding, bare back riding, calf roping, barrel racing, and team roping.
