Thursday’s opening night of the annual Lamesa Rodeo will feature not only the regular opening events but the crowning of a new queen and the finals of the Lamesa Rodeo Association’s own roping contests. The three-day rodeo starts off at 8 p.m. nightly at the rodeo arena southwest of Forrest Park on S.
