Anyone who came in public contact with Dawson County’s first confirmed case of COVID-19 has a low risk of having contracted the virus, according to information from the South Plains Public Health District. The health district – which serves Dawson, Gaines, Terry and Yoakum counties – has posted on its website an initial report on that first Dawson County case. That first case was confirmed on Thursday of last week. Two additional cases, both of which were confirmed late Friday, Remain under investigation.
