Lamesa school officials are hosting a retirement party for two South Elementary School educators starting at 4 p.m. May 17 in the Lamesa High School loft.Both Carol Sitton and Dee Barrera are retiring at the end of the current school year.Sitton has a total of 46 years in the education field. She has been with the Lamesa school district since 1996, and currently works as an interventionist.Barrera is retiring after 40 years in the Lamesa school district. She currently works as a paraprofessional.
