Police and firefighters are continuing to investigate an incident in which a residence in the 200 block of N. 18th St. was damaged by fire last Friday afternoon.Damage to the home was relatively minor and centered mainly around a back door, according to firefighters.The fire was reported shortly after police received a telephone call expressing concern about a man living at that location.Friends who went to check on the man said he had directed them to leave the location, said Lamesa Police Chief Josh Peterson.“Our initial response to the call was to check on his welfare,” Peterson said.Police, emergency medical ...
