Lamesa fi refi ghter Jerry Cagle uses a hydraulic rescue tool to get the driver’s side doors open on this pickup which was involved in collision Tuesday evening at the intersection of Highways 87 and 349 just south of Lamesa. The driver and lone occupant of the pickup reportedly suffered very serious injuries and was expected to be transported to Lubbock af-ter leaving the scene in a Medical Arts Hospital ambulance.
