City council members Tuesday are looking into the possibility of a regional animal shelter that could solve the growing homeless pet problem from municipalities between Plains, Lamesa and Big Spring.A one-site shelter, large enough for 150 or more animals, could allow cities to combine their resources to combat the problem of their smaller shelters unable to keep up with a growing stray animal population.
