Stepping down from the bench after more than 17 years as judge of the state’s 106th Judicial District, Judge Carter Schildknecht will be feted with a retirement reception here on Saturday, Dec. 1. Hosted by the Lamesa Bar Association, the come-and-go event is scheduled for 3-5 p.m. at the Dal Paso Museum. The public is invited to attend.
