Local residents will have an opportunity this Friday afternoon to meet and visit with the new chief executive officer of the Dawson County Hospital District.A “meet and greet” event for Freddy Olivarez is scheduled from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Community Room at Medical Arts Hospital.Olivarez, who had been serving as chief operating officer of the Martin County Hospital District, was hired in early November and began working here in December.He succeeds Letha Stokes, who left in January after a 35-year tenure with the hospital which saw her rise through the ranks to the CEO position.
