The following were among the many calls received recently by the Lamesa Police Department: Monday, April 26 12:25 a.m. - An officer reported being in pursuit of a possible drunk driver southbound on Hwy. 87 near the southern edge of Lamesa. The vehicle reportedly was reaching 115 miles per hour as it approached Co. Rd. 26 a few miles south of Lamesa. Howard County officers were notified as the vehicle, a gray Jeep, continued southbound and eventually went into Howard County.
