ANDREWS – The ironic aspect involving this year’s Pioneer Award recipient is that he was the Andrews Chamber of Commerce president a half century ago.Longtime pharmacist Jerry Jones received the honor during Saturday’s annual chamber banquet at the ACE Arena.Jones has lived in Andrews 60 years and worked for five decades at the Prescription Shop near the hospital.The chamber event had an attendance of approximately 450 and included dinner, the awards banquet and entertainment from The David Farias Band and country artist Randall King.Current Prescription Shop owner Aaron Gibson presented the award to Jones.– From the Andrews County News ...
