ANDREWS – The city’s new 500,000 gallon groundwater storage tank north of Andrews is completed and awaiting inspection, city officials said this week.The massive tank, which will replace a much smaller 25-year-old bolted steel tank, is part of the city’s $9.5 million water wellfield development and transmission project.City officials said the overall project involves replacing the high-maintenance 10-mile water transmission line running from the Florey wellfield to the city.But the pipeline project has been delayed after manufacturers experienced production issues due to multiple factors.The city is still waiting for the pipeline from the manufacturer, Andrews City Manager Steve Eggelston said ...
