SNYDER – Several indicators of oilfield activity ended 2021 on a strong note in Scurry County, including increased production levels for the year, according to the latest data from the Railroad Commission of Texas.The commission reported that in January, local operators reported 1.280 million barrels of crude oil produced. In December 2021, local operators reported 1.3 million barrels of crude oil produced.Last January, operators reported 1.263 million barrels of crude oil produced, about 20,000 fewer barrels than were produced this year.Statewide, producers preliminarily reported 118.1 million barrels of crude oil produced in January.
