O’Donnell FFA member Reece Redwine swept the steer show, claiming both the Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion awards, in show ring competition on Thursday evening. The steer show kicked off judging in the 2019 Dawson County Junior Livestock Show inside the LeeRoy Colgan Building (the county fair barn). Redwine’s breed-winning European cross, which was the largest steer in the show at 1,340 pounds, was named as the Grand Champion Steer, while her American entry, which also was breed champion, weighed in at 1,180 pounds and was picked as the Reserve Grand Champion Steer.
