A combined total of 16 students from Borden County and O’Donnell High Schools are advancing to state in University Interscholastic League (UIL) academic competition.Those students placed among the top finishers in the Class 1A Region 1 contest held recently at South Plains College in Levelland.Borden County, which will be sending 11 students to state in nine different events, finished second overall in total points among 48 schools represented at the region contest.With a total of 232 points, Borden County was topped only by Nazareth with 301 points.O’Donnell, which has five students advancing to state in three different events, finished fifth ...
