The O’Donnell school will be adding softball to its athletic roster starting with the 2021-2022 academic year. In a short 15-minute special meeting Friday morning, school board members agreed to offer softball. They then did a few budget amendments to pay for the estimated $15,000 cost of starting the program. The expenditure covers preparations for the softball field, equipment and uniforms for the players. “We needed to start doing these improvements now,” said Superintendent Dr. Cathy Palmer.
