Dawson County is one of the few counties in the state not under a burn ban.As the summer heat continues and with little or no rainfall in the near future, the majority of Texas counties are prohibiting outdoor burning in order to lessen the possibility of forest or grass fires.County-wide burn bans make it illegal for residents to burn outdoors.
