Dawson school board members are expected Monday to formally hire Gary Jones as the new superintendent for the school in Welch. Action to offer a contract to Jones is one of the items on the agenda for the board’s meeting at 7 p.m. in the board room at the school. Board members voted last month to designate Jones as the lone finalist for the superintendent’s position which was recently vacated by Layne Sheets, who took similar position at Jayton.
