Former city council member Doug Morris pulled out of the mayoral race on Monday, just days after Mayor Josh Stevens announced he is seeking re-election May 7.Stevens filed for the position last Thursday, one day before the filing period ended Friday, said City Secretary Betty Conde.Morris’ withdrawal leaves Stevens unopposed in his bid for another term.“Really, it was never my intention to challenge Josh at all.
