With oil activity in Dawson County continuing to increase, Reliance Energy of Midland has announced plans to drill a pair of horizontal wells at a site about eight miles south of Lamesa.The surface locations for the two wells – identified as the No. 1DN AROD 2-11-14 and the No. 2DN AROD 2-11-14 – will be only about 45 feet apart.That drilling site is a little over a mile west of Highway 137 and some 680 yards south of Co.
