Permits for two more oil drilling ventures in the southern part of Dawson County have been issued recently by the Oil and Gas Division of the Texas Railroad Commission.Legacy Reserves Operating of Midland obtained a permit on June 14 to drill the Morgan 1DH as a horizontal well about 13 miles south of Lamesa.The surface drill site will be about a half-mile west of State Hwy. 137 and a mile south of FM 828.Scheduled for a total depth of 13,000 feet, the well bore will go to the southsoutheast for about a mile and a half.Halvey Energy of Midland is ...
