Lamesa City Council members gave initial approval Tuesday evening for a specific use permit allowing a manufactured home to be placed on now-vacant property at 509 N. Gary Ave. The action came after no opposition was presented during a public hearing on the issue at the council’s regular meeting. Humberto G. Avila recently purchased six lots in that location and is seeking to place a 32’-by-76’ Rifleman manufactured home on the property, according to City Inspector Mike Lopez.
