Cheryl Miller will takeover the position of Dawson County Tax Assessor/Colletor on Thursday. Miller was appointed by the Dawson County Commissioners Court on Tuesday to fill the position being vacated by Sylvia Ortiz. Ortiz announced last week that she is retiring effective Wednesday, the last day of June.
