The Mesa Underground Water Conservation District received a positive and “clean” report from its annual financial audit for 2021-2022, according to Jacob Hernandez, the district’s general manager.Derek Ray, with the Seminole accounting firm of Davis, Ray & Co., presented the audit during Wednesday’s regular meeting of the district’s board of directors.“Ray stated that the financial statement was healthy and the internal controls are good,” reported Hernandez.Ray also commended the district for its financial progress, and he supported the relationship in which the district’s finances are handled by Michelle Gibson with the accounting firm of Bennett, Bennett and Trice.Immediately before the ...
