Flags will be flying around Lamesa and at the Dawson County Cemetery on Memorial Day to honor those who have sacrificed their lives for their country.Memorial Day, held on the last Monday every May, is set aside for the country to remember and honor those military servicemen who lost their lives in war.The Dawson County Cemetery again will be offering free small flags for family members to put on the graves of deceased service members.Flags will be available to be picked up on a firstcome, first-served basis just outside the office at the cemetery, said Terri Stahl, cemetery administrator.Large flags ...
