ANDREWS – It’s a record setting year for certified taxable value in Andrews County.The figures released late last week by Andrews County Appraisal District Chief Appraiser Susan Brewer revealed certified values of $7.5 billion.That’s a new high for the county, surpassing the previous record amount of $7.3 billion in 2014.It’s also the first time in several years certified value have reached the $7 billion figure.The $7.5 billion is 49 percent higher than the current-year taxable value of $5.03 billion, according to Brewer’s figures.
