Lubbock magazine tells story of Lamesa veteran

Whenever a U.S. veterans’ memorial or ceremony is happening in Lubbock, even a heart attack and two hip replacements can’t keep 72-year-old former Marine Clarence Calloway, Jr. away. In one of those trips to attend a ceremony for a memorial honoring Purple Heart recipients, Calloway’s story of his tour of Vietnam got the attention of the “Lubbock Senior Link: Honoring Seniors” magazine.
