STANTON – Because of the surge in COVID-19, the Martin County Hospital District had stopped elective procedures for about three weeks in early August. But with local numbers under control, procedures have been restarted.Today, there are only three inpatients in the COVID unit and the hospital is seeing a decline in the number of positive tests. For September, the positivity rate is 27.9%, down from 33.62 % in August.Martin County currently has 33 active cases. Currently 33.7 % of residents are fully vaccinated.Glasscock County currently has 7 active cases. The county now has 44.4 percent of its residents fully vaccinated.–
