Taxpayers in the Lamesa school district could see a decrease in their school tax bill this fall. Lamesa school board members voted Tuesday to propose a property tax rate of $1.3884 per $100 property valuation for the 2019-2020 fiscal year. That would be a decrease of slightly more than 10 cents compared to the $1.49 school tax rate adopted last year.
