LISD board promotes SRO officer

Lamesa school board members were introduced Thursday to the newly promoted School Resource Officer (SRO) sergeant.Gabriel Flores went from a patrol officer to the rank of sergeant after successfully enduring a stressful interview process to get there.“It was a tough interview,” said SRO Lt. Eddie Rocha. “I tried to make it as tough as I could.”Flores is one of four SROs, including two other patrol officers, serving on the school district’s four campuses.
