On the same day Lamesa High School students will be preparing for prom, a 5K event is being planned at the school.The 5K on May 6 is open to the public. Joggers, runners and walkers can sign up for the 5K tour by this Friday if they want to get a free t-shirt.The event is open to everybody. Those ages 12 and under can participate in the one-mile event.
