A Lamesa resident is a member of the Angelo State University (ASU) Cheer Team which won a national title at the United Spirit Association USA Collegiate Championships held in Anaheim, California.Daijah Whited, a 2021 graduate of Lamesa High School, is one of over 30 cheerleaders and mascots to represent ASU in the competition.This is the fifth straight year that ASU has earned the title.ASU’s 32-member coed Cheer Team won one national championship and also recorded one runner-up performance, two national third-place finishes and a fifth-place finish in the College Game Day division, including:•First Place - College Situational Sideline Contest•Second Place ...
