Lamesa Economic Development Corps. (LEDC) and Lamesa Economic Alliance Project (LEAP) board members took another step forward in supplying state transportation officials with a feasibility study.The study will hopefully entice the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to consider constructing the proposed Interstate Highway 27 (I-27) project somewhere in the neighborhood.Officials are meeting with Kimley-Horn, an engineering and planning consultants, about doing the feasibility study.LEDC Executive Director Mona Ferguson told board members Monday the cost estimate on the study should be ready for the board’s next meeting.
